Author: Robert Kleiner

9.25 x 12”, 164pp., illustrated in colour, hard cover, bibliography

Catalogues of Chinese snuff bottles are usually presented in a format of each bottle being illustrated and described individually. While the format of this catalogue that placing same type snuff bottles together is perfectly satisfactory for academic or study purposes, it loses sight of one of the great and most mysterious qualities of the snuff bottle, its ability to interact with other examples of completely different shape or colour to form exotic and entrancing groups, the combinations adding a new element to the manner in which these miniature masterpieces can be viewed and appreciated.
